Case Studies
Noor, 27, was discovered dead on July 20, 2021, in Zahir’s house in Sector F-7/4 of Islamabad. On the basis of the girl’s father’s allegation, a first information report (FIR) was filed against Zahir Jaffer under Section 302 of the Pakistan Criminal Code (PPC), which refers to planned murder.
After the FIR, Zahir was detained, but on July 24, 2021, his parents and home workers were also detained on suspicion of concealing evidence.
Afterwards, Zahir Jaffer admitted to murdering Noor Mukadam, and a DNA analysis proved she had been sexually assaulted. She was allegedly betraying him, and the accused said, “I stopped her after learning of her treason, but she denied, which made me enraged.”
According to the police’s video evidence on the victim’s torture, Noor hurried from the home’s balcony into the security guard’s cabin around 4:30 pm, where she locked herself in.
Noor was led out the cabin by Zahir Jaffer, who had been following her. The guards on the street continued to watch him attack the girl but did nothing to intervene.
