ISLAMABAD – In a significant milestone, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have filed a plea in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking acquittal in the Toshakhana 2 case.

The petition questioned the trial court’s decision to deny their request for acquittal.

The plea claimed that the Special Judge Central’s November 14 decision to dismiss the acquittal plea was illegal.

The plea, filed on behalf of Khan and Bushra Bibi, seeks that the Islamabad High Court overturn the trial court’s ruling and acquit them in the case.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other interested parties have been named respondents to the petition.
