WEBDESK (SAYS Digital) Google is updating Google Translate new Gemini features to better translations, particularly for terms with subtle meanings like idioms, local expressions, and slang.
Google claims the upgrade improves translation quality to the highest standards. It’s accessible in Google Search and the Translate app for iOS and Android.
The update is being rolled out today in the United States and India. It can translate between English and “nearly 20 languages,” including Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, and German.
Google is offering a new beta experience that allows users to hear real-time translations through their headphones. According to Google, this function keeps each speaker’s tone, accent, and rhythm, resulting in more natural translations that are simpler to follow.
