After commencing trade at 296 in the interbank market, the Pakistani rupee fell to a new record low versus the US dollar today.

It was negative at 12 PM, sliding as low as 300 after losing Rs. 4 versus the greenback, succumbing to opening-bell bears.

Later, at 1:30 and 2:30 PM, it dropped to the 301 level and anchored trends for the rest of the day.

Open market prices (recorded) across various currency counters ranged from 304 to 310.

The PKR fell 0.26 percent to 301 at the closing, having lost 78 paisas versus the dollar today.
