Indian hackers temporarily hacked the popular ride-hailing service Bykea. Bykea users all around the nation began getting alerts from hackers denouncing Pakistan.
The smartphone app displayed the same notice, but it was still fully functional. It is reasonable to claim that the hack caused no damage and was just an exploit to show a message to everyone.
However, Bykea’s main website was unaffected, and the app no longer displays any fraudulent messages. There is no evidence that this was an assault by Indian hackers, although the terminology suggests it.
According to researchers, this attack was most likely directed at Bykea’s marketing communications capabilities, which are in charge of delivering push alerts to customers. Typically, this is a third-party product.

Bykea’s official statement acknowledges this as well.

We sincerely sorry for the improper message received through Bykea. We can confirm that this was a hacked third-party communication tool. Our staff has repaired it, and the Bykea app is now fully operational and secure. If users have any problems, we are accessible on our hotline.
