The PCB makes arrangements for ODI matches with four cricket boards prior to the World Cup.The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been in touch with four cricket governing bodies to arrange One Day International (ODI) matches for the Pakistani team before to the 2023 World Cup, which will take place in India later this year.
According to reports, the PCB has contacted Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and South Africa to extend invitations for them to go to Pakistan in August and take part in bilateral or tri-nation series.
The PCB’s communication to the aforementioned boards states that these series will provide the visiting teams an opportunity to acclimatise to the conditions on the subcontinent before the big event.
At a press conference in Lahore on Saturday, Pakistan’s head coach, Grant Bradburn, underlined the need of playing in more matches in order to ensure that the Pakistani team is ready for the significant event. He said that the PCB has been actively scheduling matches in the lead-up to the crucial 50-over season.
