Apple has officially launched the long-awaited 15-inch MacBook Air after considerable anticipation.
According to Apple, the newest addition to the MacBook Air family has a magnificent 15.3-inch Retina display with a brightness level of 500 nits and an outstanding colour gamut of 1 billion colours.
The new MacBook Air has tiny 5mm bezels that surround the screen, allowing for a more immersive viewing experience. Notably, it has a notch that houses a 1080p camera.
Despite its bigger screen, the 15-inch MacBook Air has a small 11.5mm profile and a wonderfully lightweight construction, weighing just 1.49 kg.
In terms of design, Apple has enlarged the colour palette for this new model, making it available in four different finishes: midnight, starlight, space grey, and silver.
The 15-inch MacBook Air, which uses the same M2 processor as the 13-inch model, has excellent performance capabilities.
It has an 8-core CPU with four high-performance cores and four energy-efficient cores.
It also has a strong 10-core GPU and a powerful 16-core Neural Engine.
The 15-inch MacBook Air’s basic configuration has 8 GB of unified memory. Users may, however, customise and increase the RAM to a maximum of 24 GB.
The 15-inch MacBook Air has an impressive battery life, lasting up to 18 hours on a single charge thanks to the efficiency of the M2 CPU.
Apple, in usual manner, has supplied some fascinating performance comparisons.
The new 15-inch MacBook Air, according to Apple, is 12 times quicker than the previous “fastest Intel-based MacBook Air” (which dates back to the 2020 model utilising an Intel CPU), and it is also twice as fast as the “best-selling 15-inch PC laptop with a Core i7 processor.”
The 15-inch MacBook Air has two USB-C Thunderbolt connections, a MagSafe charging connector for simple and secure charging, and a traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack for convenience.
In addition, the laptop has three microphones and six speakers to improve the audio experience.
The 15-inch MacBook Air begins at $1,299 and will be available for purchase next week.
