Violations of this legislation shall result in severe penalties and fines.
A driver’s license is only awarded once an applicant passes both theoretical and practical examinations administered by the Traffic Police in Lahore and other cities around Punjab. The licensing procedure also includes a cost structure, which varies based on the kind and term of the license.
Traffic officials are authorized to check licenses anytime.
Traffic officials across the province now have the right to demand a driver’s license for verification at any time. If a driver fails to provide a valid license, they will face penalties or challans on the spot.
Revised fee structure for driving licenses in Punjab

Revised Fee Structure for Punjab Driving Licenses
As part of its enhanced campaign against unlicensed drivers, the Lahore Traffic Police has announced a new pricing structure for driving permits.
Test Fee: Rs 150 (for all applicants)
One-year license: Rs 1,980
Two-year license: Rs 3,330
Three-year license: Rs 4,680
Four-year license: Rs 6,030
Five-year license: Rs 7,380
In addition to making sure that licensed drivers have the necessary training and testing before operating a vehicle, this new price is intended to promote adherence to traffic regulations.
Punjab Resident online e-license system
For convenience, the Punjabi government has also implemented an e-Driving License system that enables residents to download a digital copy of their license.
