ISLAMABAD Omar Ayub, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, claims that Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan have nothing to do with the Al-Qadir Trust and that the lawsuit against it is without merit.
Ayub criticized the government for focusing on welfare programs like Al-Qadir University, which teaches about the life of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), while sitting at a news conference with PTI leaders Shibli Faraz and Salman Akram Raja.
He said that the lawsuit undercuts charitable endeavors in Pakistan and denounced it as politically motivated.
While Salman Akram Raja emphasized that neither Khan nor Bushra Bibi benefited monetarily, Shibli Faraz called the case a setback to public confidence.
He restated that the state suffered no losses as a result of the money in dispute being submitted to the Supreme Court.
The PTI leaders urged the government to stop repressing political opponents via baseless lawsuits and instead concentrate on improving Pakistan’s governance and economy.
