LAHORE (Web Desk) – Today (Tuesday), the Punjab Film Censor Board will decide the fate of the highly anticipated Hollywood film Barbie.

Mohsin Naqvi, the interim chief minister, has instructed the censor board to make a determination about the province’s showing of the film.

Before deciding whether to allow Barbie to be screened in Punjab, the censor board will meet today to discuss the film in detail.

Even though the censor board had awarded a no objection certificate, the Punjab government had previously banned the film.

According to accounts, police and the district administration conducted searches, and several of the Lahore theaters stopped showing movies in the middle of them. The theater’s management was compelled to refund every ticket.

On July 21, the blockbuster received a global release, and ever then, it has garnered media attention.

Although the film is wildly popular everywhere, it was pulled from Punjabi theaters because to “objectionable content.”

According to a Punjabi government official, the film was banned in the province as a result of complaints from the general people. However, other regions are also showing the hugely popular film.
