LAHORE (Web Desk) – In recent interviews, Pakistan’s prominent actor Mahnoor Baloch harshly criticised the unprofessional attitude of the younger generation of actors who have taken being late as a standard.
During an interview with a private TV channel, Mahoor Baloch revealed that there is a significant difference between past and present times, and the biggest change she has noticed in three decades is that people no longer value time, and artists must wait for other actors for long periods of time while sitting on the set.
She said that the sector has seen a definite erosion in ethical norms, which is why there is a lack of professionalism. She said that if she is even five minutes late on set, she becomes very anxious, yet it is now standard practise to arrive on set and wait, often for hours.
According to Mahnoor Baloch, unethical conduct is not confined to women, but also causes a lot of disruptions and annoyance for the co-actors. She went on to say that because of the untimely delays, it’s tough for the co-stars to stay focused, and their energy level inevitably drops.
